Youth Leadership and Empowerment Camp 2018

Students travelled to Manhattan to TED HQ to get a tour and learn about the company and their influence in the world of technology, entertainment and design.

“I love NECS! My boys loved going there for one week this summer. Your exceptional staff were amazing with my boys. They made the camp not only about building objects but about building self-esteem, kindness, and resilience.” Thank you for making this year’s camp a success, and for bringing joy to the lives of so many families!

Children’s Theatre Company of Peekskill (CTC)

Founded in New York City in 1999 by Mehr Mansuri, the Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) is a non profit organization dedicated to Building Character Onstage.™ CTC’s mission is to introduce children and youth to the incomparable magic of theatre, in a safe, loving and accepting environment. In 2006 we started a sister organization in Peekskill which has since evolved into a collaborative project where our creative team and students collaborate in the creative process. Theatre is seen as a tool to help awaken children to their highest potential, build self confidence, and develop moral character, in order that they may contribute to their own well being and the well-being of their communities.

SHow Way production 2019

Cast members presented a powerful performance of Show Way, written by Melody Cooper. A story that teaches the lesson that we all have the strength of our ancestors and friends to draw upon to get us through difficult times.

I absolutely loved the show tonight! I was so impressed with all the children and I was touched by the message in the play. Congrats to everyone for a wonderful performance.
