A Vision of Race Unity in America

Courageous Conversation on Race

In 2017, I collaborated with the Peekskill Field Library to design and implement workshops to educate and address the racial divide in the United States. I facilitated monthly workshops addressing the history of racism in American, unconscious bias, and numerous other topics on the ways in which racism continues to adversely affect our nation.

I have since been invited by the Putnum Valley Library, Hendrick Hudson Library and Rye Library to facilitate and initiate Courageous Conversations on the topic of race on a monthly basis. In addition, I have facilitated numerous workshops for youth on race and co-facilitated a weekend retreat at Green Acre Baha’i School in Maine in 2019 on racism, justice and ways to foster the oneness of humanity. Workshops were conducted for youth and adults.

I am currently the co-chair for the newly re-instated NAACP Youth Committee in Peekskill, NY and have served as a leader for youth in the community, providing spaces for teens and young adults to gather and discuss topics related to race.
